Work Experience
- There are 3 takeaways from my time at Alipay:
- 1. I learned a lot about the code strategy to deal with millions or billions of users, and also opened source my first project.
- 2. I learned a lot about soft skills, critical thinking, leadership, public speaking, and systematic analysis, and I got the promotion to staff engineer.
- 3. I learned a lot about User-Centric programming that helped me become a user-based programmer, using the user's perspective to think about the problem.
- Thanks to Alipay, the soft skills and user-centric thinking I've acquired have not only made me a better programmer but also significantly enriched my daily life.
This marked the beginning of my journey as a Tech Leader, where I led both the iOS and Android teams to advance the company's business. I introduced new skills such as React Native, Git, and Design Patterns, while also focusing on team building, standup meetings, one-on-ones, holiday celebrations, and various initiatives to foster a positive and happy work environment.
